Teacher Development Programs

iREACh is committed to utilizing IAT’s modern facilities and the expertise of its staff to enhance student-centered practices, life-long and collaborative learning skills of teachers across the UAE.

Through our teacher development programs, IAT is developing a professional learning community of teachers, nurturing future school leaders, and fostering professional values and practice.

IELTS Train the Trainer

This is an 18 hour course which is run over 3 days is designed for people who provide training to IELTS candidates. Each day will include 6 hours tuition and will be divided into the following sessions:

Developing speaking skills
Developing listening skills
The IELTS exam
Exam strategies
Teaching exam classes

Developing reading skills
Developing writing skills
Following instructions
Evaluating resources
Question answer session

On this workshop teachers will:

develop skills in teaching speaking, listening, writing and reading
find out the latest up to date teaching materials and activities for preparing students for the IELTS examination
learn how to effectively prepare students for the exam using a variety of different strategies
have the opportunity to share knowledge and skills with other professionals

Specialised Staff Development Programs and Workshops

IAT can provide a range of day workshops, short courses and more long term programs for teachers who would like to develop their skills in delivery of subjects such as –

Teaching Applied Technology (eg Robotics, Web Design, Computer Technologies, Microcontrollers)
